Dr. Sayed M. Husain, MD, is a board-certified nephrologist and clinical researcher with over a decade of specialized expertise in kidney disease management and dialysis innovation. He currently serves as Medical Director at Celly Mobile Dialysis, Fresenius Kidney Care, and Pure Life Renal, where he leads clinical operations and advances the standard of care for patients with renal disease.
Dr. Husain completed his Internal Medicine Residency at New York Hospital Queens/Cornell University and his Nephrology Fellowship at Henry Ford Health System/Wayne State University in Detroit. He is dual board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology, and has maintained active clinical practice since 2013 with Mid-Florida Kidney as well as ongoing hospitalist service through the Apogee Group.
Clinical Research
A dedicated clinical researcher, Dr. Husain founded and leads INFIGO Clinical Research, where he serves as President and Medical Director. His research portfolio spans landmark studies in polycystic kidney disease, hyperkalemia management, chronic kidney disease outcomes, and anemia in dialysis patients. Earlier in his career he served as Principal Investigator at ACCEL Clinical Research and as a co-investigator on NIH-funded studies at Winthrop University Hospital.
His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals including the Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology and presented at the American Society of Nephrology, the National Kidney Foundation, and the ISN World Congress of Nephrology.
Additional Roles
In addition to his clinical and research roles, Dr. Husain serves as a Medical Advisor for Renal At Home and is a Peer Review Committee member at HCA Lake Monroe Hospital in Sanford, Florida. He is a member of the Renal Physicians Association, the American Society of Nephrology, and the National Kidney Foundation.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Husain enjoys gardening, home projects, and crafting — pursuits that reflect his hands-on creativity and attention to detail.
